On the 5th May 2024, Hanshi Marc Howes was awarded his Kudan (9th Dan) in recognition of his work in developing Kyokushin Budokai Goshin Do, and for his promotion of Budo through his four books. The certificate, see below, is handwritten and follows the traditional manner of thumbprints instead of signatures.

The signatures are all world-class martial artists and top of their styles. they were:
